Gold dots mark places; grouped portraits open a menu of composers.
Each year’s location favours a dated post over a home or other stay, with the latest record breaking ties. Between dated stays, the last place remains until the next residence or death, marked by a dashed portrait frame.
City cards distinguish residence-based locations from dated events; sharing a city and year is not proof of a meeting.
Selecting a composer shows every recorded place, with overseas stops on a separate inset.
Lines join records in date order; dotted lines mark musical connections.
The Mercator map uses Natural Earth 1:50m, public domain, from the pinned source revision; outlines show present-day countries.
